Yamaha SPX Multi FX Processors

We have a range of Yamaha SPX processors including several 990's, an SPX1000, SPX900's, almost certainly an SPX90 buried somewhere and even an SPX90II. The first reports from users of the new SPX2000 have been very positive and we will be introducing these to our hire stock in the very near future.

Features

• You all know what an SPX does. OK, for those that don't they are an effects unit that in addition to doing reverbs can produce pitch changes, delays, chorus, flanging effects amongst others. You could describe them as a multi FX processor.

• They have been around for over 15 years and you will not find many FX racks that do not contain at least SPX. They are most definitely "industry standard".

• The SPX series are all very easy to use.

• The first commonly used SPX was a 90, as the numbers get higher the quality and features improve, with the exception of the SPX1000 versus SPX990 for some strange reason.

• SPX90 and SPX900 are 1/4" jack audio inputs and outputs. Mono in, stereo out.

• SPX1000 has 1/4" jack audio inputs and outputs. Stereo in and out. It also has digital I/O, however this is in a strange Yamaha format and as a result pretty useless to most of us.

• SPX990 has XLR & balanced 1/4" jack inputs and outputs.

• All SPX units can be MIDI controlled.
