About Us.

Coast to Coast was formed over 20 years ago by Gerard Rolfe and Vernon McCallum. They are both still very active and hands on directors with the company to this day.

Originally named The Yellow Cab Company complete with hand painted and appropriately coloured boxes, Coast to Coast has expanded over the years to become a sound company with a stock in excess of 60 PA speaker cabinets and countless monitor wedges. Thankfully none of them are yellow.

Our work varies from multi-stage outdoor festival events to helping out local bands in the back room of their local hostelry. Providing equipment and people for all levels ensures we are used to dealing and coping  with many different situations, not all ideal ones. As a result we are able to manage some of the most challenging productions.

Increasingly, clients are looking for complete packages and in 2000 we decided to add lights and some large scale video projectors to our hire stock. 

Having the best equipment in the world is still not going to get the job done. You need the people to go with it. All our crew are highly experienced and more importantly, do the job because they want to. We try to look after our staff, several of our freelance staff have been working with us for over 10 years. We know that their experience and knowledge makes a big difference in ensuring events are enjoyed by not only the audience but the client and artists as well.
